Argentina importing banknotes amid high inflation

Argentina: Authorities in Argentina are importing banknotes from several countries, according to reports. El País reported that the country is shipping notes from France, Spain, Malta, Brazil and China.

Bloomberg Línea, citing contracts from the national mint, said the country was importing 360 pallets of notes from France, and more than 800 from Malta. It estimates these shipments would amount to 260 million pieces of currency. Banknote producer De La Rue has a plant in Malta.
