Central banks rank geopolitical tensions as the second most pressing risk in 2023

Above-target inflation is the most important risk reserve managers face in 2023, according to the latest edition of the HSBC Reserve Management Trends survey published by Central Banking Publications.

This year, 78 central banks ranked the importance high inflation has for their portfolios, and 55 (70.5%) said it is their main concern. Additionally, 13 (16.6%) said it is the second main risk factor this year.
