The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) dropped central bank governor Yi Gang from a ruling body on October 22 and he may now step down.
Yi, 64, previously served as an alternate member of the CCP’s Central Committee. But he was not named as either a full or an alternate member of the committee at the CCP’s twentieth party congress.
