BSP opens currency exchange for migrants fleeing Ukraine
Returning Filipinos can convert their hryvnia to pesos at central bank and authorised banks
The Central Bank of the Philippines (BSP) will open a facility on May 20 to allow Filipinos returning from Ukraine to convert their Ukrainian hryvnia to up to 20,000 pesos ($382).
The monetary board made the decision to allow Filipinos and their families to convert their money at the central bank’s Manila head office and its regional branches, as well as authorised agent banks.
Filipinos may exchange hryvnia by presenting their passport, or a travel document issued by the Philippine Embassy
