Colombia’s central bank revises up growth forecast
Board maintains rates at 1.75%, as IMF says delays in vaccination could hamper recovery
The Central Bank of Colombia revised up its GDP growth forecasts for 2021 after its monetary policy meeting on April 30.
The institution expects the economy to expand by 6% this year, up from the 5.2% expansion it had previously forecast. This is the result of “better-than-expected economic performance in the first quarter”, says the policy statement.
