IMF gives Chile access to $24 billion credit line
Country is exposed to major risks from pandemic despite strong economic record, Georgieva says
The International Monetary Fund’s executive board has granted Chile’s government access for two years to its flexible credit line arrangements.
The FCL will be worth about $23.9 billion, the IMF said on May 29. IMF managing director Kristalina Georgieva issued a statement in mid-May strongly supporting the Chilean authorities’ FCL application.
