Central bank keeping open mind on future of regulatory data collection

The Bank of England is looking for a “new approach” to regulatory data collection, which it hopes will make reporting faster and less costly for both firms and supervisors.

As the BoE launched its review of regulatory data today (January 7), the Financial Conduct Authority also unveiled an overhauled data strategy that will see it invest in “advanced analytics” and automation.
