The immaturity of the green bond market could hamper central banks as they start to react to the growing threat of climate risk on their balance sheets, according to a panel of experts.
Speaking at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s annual conference for Green Finance and Investment, central bankers, economists and analysts reviewed what role the central banks should take when it comes to environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues.
