The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) has launched a green bond fund for central banks, saying it plans to use its clout to affect the development of green investment standards.

The open-ended fixed income fund, denominated in US dollars, invests in green assets with a minimum grade of A–. To be eligible, bonds must conform to either the International Capital Market Association’s Green Bond Principles or the Climate Bonds Initiative’s Climate Bond Standard.
