Some Australian regions dependent on fossil fuel exports are likely to suffer negative impacts as renewable energy sources grow, said economists at the Reserve Bank of Australia.

Alexandra Heath, head of economic analysis at the RBA, said global commitments to reducing CO2 emissions may negatively impact some Australian regions.
