BoE agrees to refine stress-testing in light of review
Independent report says stress-testing is working, but there is room for improvement
The Bank of England is to refine its approach to stress-testing, after the Independent Evaluation Office found the framework was working but could still be improved.
The BoE said today (April 24) it was “committed” to implementing all of the IEO’s recommendations, which fall under three broad headings: advancing macro- and micro-prudential objectives; delivering the cyclical and exploratory scenarios more effectively; and communicating outcomes “appropriately”.
