Norges Bank ends ban on SWF investing in two oil companies
Move comes after energy firms end involvement in conflict-torn region
The executive board of Norges Bank reversed the exclusion of two oil and gas exploration and production companies from the investments of Norway’s sovereign wealth fund on November 27.
The Norwegian central bank made the decision after the two energy firms halted their exploration in a conflict-torn part of Africa.
Norges Bank’s board originally decided in June 2016 to exclude Cairn Energy and Kosmos Energy due to their agreement with the Moroccan government to explore oil in the Western
