Bank of Canada launches new communication initiative

Central bank hopes new publication will promote financial literacy among Canadians

The Bank of Canada launched a new digital platform to help Canadians better understand the economy on September 28.

The initiative will feature regular blog-like educational articles and visuals to explain current economic issues and the central bank’s functions in simple terms.

Building the platform has been a collaborative effort, spearheaded by the managing director of the communications department, Jeremy Harrison, and Don Coletti, adviser to the governor.

Coletti told Central Banking a
