ECB narrows down choices for next supervisory head

Donnery, Enria and Ophele will appear before European Parliament

The European Central Bank has drawn up a shortlist of three candidates to become the next head of the eurozone’s supervisory mechanism, sources close to the matter said.

The three candidates are Sharon Donnery, one of three deputy governors at the Central Bank of Ireland, Andrea Enria, current chair of the European Banking Authority, and Robert Ophele, chairman of France’s Financial Markets Authority.
