Zeti says former prime minister Najib asked her to lie over money in his bank account
Former Malaysian central bank governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz has angrily denied accusations from the country’s ex-prime minister, who was arrested this week on corruption charges.
Najib Razak, who headed Malaysia’s government between 2009 and 2018, was arrested on July 3, and charged the following day with four criminal offences relating to state-owned development fund 1MDB.
