China’s former chief insurance regulator has been officially charged with taking bribes and abuse of power, after he was removed from office a year ago in an anti-corruption crackdown.
China’s top prosecutor, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, announced on April 16 that Xiang Junbo, former chairman and party secretary of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, is accused of taking advantage of his former positions in the central bank, a state-owned bank and the CIRC, to convey benefits on
