FSB recommends global governance for UTI

FSB concludes ISO should publish and maintain the standard

The Financial Stability Board has released the conclusions on its work on a unique transaction identifier, determining that the core standards should be set at the global level to ensure coherence.

In documents published on January 2, the FSB says the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) should be responsible for publishing and maintaining the UTI data standard. The FSB also designated the Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures (CPMI) and the International Organization
