BoE expects UK inflation slowdown
Bank of England keeps rates on hold at 0.5%
While the UK’s headline inflation hit 3.1% in November, the minutes from the Bank of England’s latest meeting point to signs that price rises will slow in the coming months.
At the monetary policy committee meeting, which concluded today (December 14), policymakers voted unanimously to hold rates at 0.5%, having opted for a 25 basis point hike a month earlier.
