A deputy from the South African Reserve Bank (Sarb) has said the G20 is running the risk of being seen as inactive in a year when the world needs better communication from its leaders.

Despite overcoming "teething problems", Daniel Mminele said the G20 had now reached the stage where it "runs the risk" of being viewed as a forum where "process issues have become more prominent and actions more difficult to agree on or implement".
