Some council members expressed “scepticism” over asset purchases

The European Central Bank (ECB) published the minutes of its most recent monetary policy meeting today (January 13), giving evidence of greater internal disagreement than previous records have done for some time. A minority of governing council members put forward arguments for an even greater reduction in the ECB's asset purchase programme than the one eventually agreed.
