‘Significant progress’ on infrastructure overhaul – RBNZ annual report
Progress on RTGS, securities settlement and new Treasury systems
The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) made headway in the past year on projects to overhaul the country's payment infrastructure and its own systems, according to its annual report, published today (September 29).
The central bank says it has made "significant progress" on its real-time gross settlement (RTGS) system workstream, as it looks to develop a replacement high-value payments infrastructure. It also took the decision in March to retain its NZClear securities settlement system, and now
