IMF executive board calls for greater gender equality among directors
Fund executive board encourages members to consider gender diversity when nominating directors
The International Monetary Fund executive board is encouraging member countries to "take gender diversity into consideration" when submitting nominations for executive directors and their staff.
Currently, Chileshe Mpundu Kapwepwe is the only female out of 24 executive directors at the fund, an average that has been maintained for the past decade.
