Government launches public application process for position
Øystein Olsen plans to seek a second term as governor of Norges Bank, he said on April 3, as the Norwegian government launched the application process for the role.
"I am motivated to continue as governor, and can confirm that I will apply," Olsen told Reuters. A spokeswoman for Norges Bank confirmed the report to be accurate.
Olsen began his first six-year term at the head of Norges Bank in January 2011. Under the Norges Bank Act he can be reappointed for one additional term – as his
