Basel disclosure proposals add ‘dashboard’ of risk metrics

Proposals aim for simpler and more comparable disclosures

Banks will be expected to publish a simple and transparent "dashboard" of the most important regulatory indicators, under proposed new rules set out on March 11 by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision.

The committee updated its Pillar 3 disclosure requirements for Basel III with a raft of new measures. In addition to the dashboard, the proposals include forcing banks to disclose their hypothetical risk weights under the standardised approach, more granularity and additional disclosures to
