Bank of Russia proposes regular stress tests for private sector pension funds

Pension funds would have to conduct quarterly stress tests under proposals

The Bank of Russia has published a draft regulation that would compel the country's private sector pension funds to implement formal risk management systems.

Under the proposed rules, published for public discussion, private sector pension funds will have to assess their risks "at least" monthly, and conduct stress tests quarterly, the bank said. They will also have to compile a "credit register" at least annually, it added.
