Smaller financial institutions will ‘likely’ face simplified SREP in 2018, says regulator
Small and medium-sized eurozone banks will probably undergo a simplified version of the Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process (SREP) in 2018, Sabine Lautenschläger said on February 22. They also need to reassess their business models "in detail", according to the vice-chair of the European Central Bank's supervisory board.
From 2018, it was "likely" small and medium banks would face "a simplified methodology that covers the key aspects" during the SREP, Lautenschläger told an audience in
