BoJ regional research divisions see ‘moderate’ recovery

Some note impact from emerging markets slowdown on exports and production

The Bank of Japan's regional research divisions kept their economic assessments largely unchanged in January compared to October, though a handful flagged an impact from the slowdown of emerging economies.

According to the BoJ's regional economic report, published on January 18, each of the nine regions said the economy had "continued to recover" or had still been "recovering moderately".

Compared to October, the Tokai region revised its assessment upwards, while another, the Kinki region
