Forecasting processes could be made easier at the Central Bank of Belize if it made improvements to its data collection mechanisms, a working paper published by the institution argues.

In Evaluating short term bridge model forecasts of real GDP in Belize: a quarterly approach, Rumile Arana assesses three types of econometric models used to forecast real GDP.

"The results show that the indicator models provide the most precise estimates and that combination techniques improved forecast accuracy
