Central Bank of Chile revises growth forecasts but will reach 3% target by the end of 2017

Chile's central bank believes inflation will hit its 3% target by the fourth quarter of 2017, according to its latest forecasts, released as part of a monetary policy report on December 21.

Its inflation forecast for 2016 ticked up to 3.8% from 3.7% in the previous report, published in September, with the central bank citing risks from both home and abroad.

The report touches upon the recent developments in the US, noting the region will "remain an important source of risk" to the macroeconomic
