Norges Bank shuffles organisation of support functions
Norges Bank looks to strengthen support structure
Norges Bank will reorganise some of its support functions in January, it announced today (December 7) – with the current executive director of monetary policy, Birger Vikøren, moving to head the central secretariat.
It follows the appointment of a second deputy governor, Egil Matsen, for the first time. Matsen will have responsibility relating to Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), which manages the government pension fund global.
