Bundesbank's Weidmann to replace Noyer as chair of BIS board in November
Noyer set to retire on October 31
Deutsche Bundesbank president Jens Weidmann is to replace Banque de France governor Christian Noyer as chairman of the board of directors at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), the organisation said today (September 7).
Noyer is due to retire from Banque de France on October 31, and will step down from the BIS board at the same time. He became chairman in March 2010 and is partway through his second three-year term.
Both Noyer and Weidmann are ex-officio members of the 21-member board
