Zeti stresses need for good data in promoting financial inclusion
Better data can help put pressure on countries that are lagging behind
Good data is a major factor in efforts to promote financial inclusion, Bank Negara Malaysia governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz said on August 20.
Zeti was speaking at the Asian region launch of the World Bank's Global Findex financial inclusion database, first released in 2011 and updated for the first time this year. The World Bank surveyed 150,000 people across 140 countries to compile a picture of global financial inclusion.
