Eurozone inflation ‘may well have’ reached turning point

ECB governing council members feel it is too soon to say for certain

A "growing number" of indicators suggest underlying inflation in the eurozone has reached a turning point, according to the European Central Bank (ECB) governing council – but it is too soon to say for certain.

At their July 15–16 meeting the council members suggested inflation had "bottomed out", but stressed it was "too early to firmly declare that the range of available measures of underlying inflation showed a turning point".
