Fed officials outline research agenda to improve tests

Regulators must work to "push the state-of-the-art" and keep abreast of changes to banks' modelling techniques when designing stress tests, Federal Reserve vice-chair Stanley Fischer said on June 24.

Five years on from the first stress tests in the US, the Fed is working with industry, market analysts and academics to design improvements, he said.
