Cœuré cautious over loss-absorbing capacities of CCPs
Stresses the need for careful approach if they are to be expanded
The global regulatory agenda since the crisis has made central counterparties (CCPs) a lot safer, according to European Central Bank (ECB) executive board member Benoît Cœuré, but questions remain over whether their loss-absorbing capacities will reach the desired levels.
