Bosnia central bank suspends nine after $380,000 theft from vaults
Central bank says one employee has admitted to taking the money
An employee at the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina has admitted to stealing 600,000 Bosnian marks ($380,000) from the institution's vaults.
According to the Prosecutor's Office, a "clerk" at the central bank named Nedzad Bajraktarević has been arrested. The central bank confirmed an employee referred to as N.B. has confessed to the crime.
The money was supposedly stolen in the form of 200 mark notes – the highest denominated banknote in the country – across three separate occasions
