Dallas Fed president Richard Fisher to step down March 19
Second recent dissenter on the FOMC to leave in less than two months
Another recent dissenter on the Federal Reserve's Open Market Committee (FOMC) is to retire, after Richard Fisher, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, announced he will step down on March 19 after 10 years in the job.
Charles Plosser, head of the Fed's Philadelphia branch, announced his retirement in September. He steps down on March 1.
Fisher and Plosser voted against the FOMC's monetary policy decision on September 17, citing unease with the committee's forward guidance. Both
