Fed issues tougher and broader 2015 stress tests

Tests include tweaked variables and new conditions

The Federal Reserve yesterday unveiled the scenarios it will be using for its 2015 stress tests, which include higher hurdles for banks to clear than earlier years.

The Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) takes place every year, and the same scenarios are applied during stress tests required under the Dodd-Frank Act. Banks with more than $50 billion of assets are required to take part.
