The Central Bank of Ireland has appointed Sharon Donnery as director of credit institutions. Donnery joined the Irish central bank as an economist in 1996. She was head of consumer information and subsequently head of consumer protection prior to her appointment as registrar of credit unions, a role she will hold in parallel with her new job until a replacement has been appointed.
