Ingves says Basel reforms must move ahead

Stefan Ingves, governor of the Sveriges Riksbank and chair of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, today told an audience in Abu Dhabi that bank capital must be "seen to be of sufficient quantity, quality, consistency and reliability".

Addressing the ninth high-level meeting for the Middle East & North Africa region, jointly organised by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, the Financial Stability Institute and the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF), Ingves said those four characteristics
