Bullard says Fed should ape ECB press conference schedule

St Louis Fed president James Bullard today called for the Federal Reserve to hold press conferences after each of its Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meetings – in the custom of the European Central Bank (ECB), which itself this week revealed an internal debate about copying the Fed and other central banks in publishing the minutes of its monetary policy discussions.

Bullard's comments, made in an interview with Reuters, come a day after ECB president Mario Draghi told his regular press
