Korea's Kim calls for economic patriotism at central bank

The governor of the Bank of Korea, Choong Soo Kim, has called on his bank to match the contribution made by the Federal Reserve, the Bank of England and the People's Bank of China to the development of their own respective economies.

Addressing the Bank's employees on the occasion of its 63rd anniversary, Kim said "an era of central bank competition is on the horizon", a "natural outcome of the increased impacts of central banks on their national economies in line with the changes characteristic
