World Bank says east Asia and Pacific at risk of ‘overheating’

The World Bank has warned the larger economies in east Asia and the Pacific are at risk of "overheating" as the global economy recovers. In its latest update report on the region, the World Bank states that should global demand pick up, some economies will "reach the limits of their current production capacity".

In 2012, the Asia-Pacific region was the fastest growing in the world, expanding by 7.5%, and contributed 40% of the entire global growth. The World Bank singles out the middle-income
