Bank of Albania’s Fullani justifies rate cut to historic low
The governor of the Bank of Albania, Ardian Fullani, on July 25 revealed the central bank's decision to cut interest rates by 25 basis points to 4%, a historic low.
Speaking at the announcement of the Supervisory Council's decision, Fullani said consumer prices reflected weak inflationary pressure on both the demand and supply sides, despite increasing 0.8 percentage points on the previous quarter, reaching 1.9% in Q2 of 2012.
