Reserve Bank of Fiji grapples with credit card surcharge decision
The Reserve Bank of Fiji today (August 2) announced a decision would be made at the central bank's board of directors meeting this month on the regulatory stance on credit card surcharges.
Drawing on the experience of the Reserve Bank of Australia in overhauling regulations in this area, the Fijians made it clear the decision-making process on whether to allow extra charges is no easy task.
