BIS’s Cecchetti discusses financial globalisation
Stephen Cecchetti, economic adviser and head of the monetary and economic department at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), delivered a speech on June 21 in which he considered whether financial globalisation was beneficial to an economy.
Speaking at the 11th BIS Annual Conference in Lucerne, Cecchetti examined the impact of both the growth in the size of financial systems and a greater specialisation in financial services by a small group of advanced economies. He argued that there
