Malta governor reflects on turbulent eurozone

Josef Bonnici, governor of the Central Bank of Malta, on May 18 discussed the continuing challenges facing the eurozone.

Speaking at FinanceMalta's 5th Annual Conference in Malta, Bonnici considered the tension between fiscal consolidation and economic growth, warning that too aggressive a consolidation would weaken growth and potentially lead to a "negative macroeconomic spiral".
