Weidmann cautions against “more of the same” approach to eurozone crisis
The governor of the Deutsche Bundesbank, Jens Weidmann, on April 23, cautioned against a "more of the same" approach being adopted by eurozone countries to resolving the crisis.
Speaking at the Economics Club of New York, Weidmann said the "imperatives" necessary to solve the crisis are in danger of being "obscured" by short-term considerations, and "this tendency seems to be becoming stronger now that the world economy is getting back on track".
