Basel Committee highlights resource challenges in stress testing
The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision has published a peer review of the implementation by national supervisory authorities of the Basel Committee's principles for sound stress-testing practices and supervision.
The report, released today (April 13), found significant progress has been made as stress testing had become a "key component" of the supervisory assessment process for banks, as well as being seen as a tool for contingency planning and communication in the countries under review.
