Ireland’s Honohan laments indebtedness in the country
The governor of the Central Bank of Ireland, Patrick Honohan, on March 14 spoke to Limerick Law Society about the problems with debt the country faces.
In a speech entitled Household Indebtedness: Context, Consequence and Correction, Honohan said "systematic and effective engagement" with the public was able to "bring predictability to hopelessly over-indebted borrowers, restoring their ability and motivation to become productive members of society".
